The Transportation Department safely transports approximately 135 students to and from school each day. In addition to 4 regular bus routes, drivers provide transportation for extra-curricular field trips, vocational education programs and other special needs. District drivers travel over 26,200 miles each year and maintain exemplary safe-driving records.
To ride the school bus, students must live beyond the following distances from school:
- GRADES K-3: 3/4 mile
- GRADES 4-8: 1 miles
- GRADES 9-12: 2 miles
New bus riders (primary-grade students) should be accompanied to and from the bus stop by an adult. It is the parent's responsibility to make sure the child knows his, or her, way to and from the school bus stop. Anyone with questions about bus routes may contact the Transportation Department (209) 632-9917.
