2017-2018 Registration Round Up

In order to help get the school year off to a smooth start, we will be holding our Round Up (early registration process) on Wednesday, August 2, 2017 from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the DMS Coyote Center.

Registration paperwork will be mailed out July 5, 2017.

Round Up will include completion and return of all summer mailer registration forms, purchase of PE clothes, ASB activity sticker, payment of fees owed to the school and a school picture for I.D and yearbook purposes.

This process will allow for a more effective and efficient beginning of school for everyone.

If your child is new to Denair Unified School District and you recently completed registration papers in our office, please return any necessary paperwork during Round Up.

Round Up will be the first step a student takes in preparing for the upcoming school year. Students completing this process at the appropriate time will begin the school year on a positive and productive note. The middle school years are very important, so let us all work together and strive for the success each student deserves. We have established the following registration schedule based on your student’s last name.

All students should report to the DMS Coyote Center, at the appropriate time according to the chart below, with their completed forms. Students must have their completed forms for their scheduled registration time or they will not receive their schedule.

Beard Takes Over as Denair Elementary Principal; LaFountain Temporarily Moves to Middle School Campus

Kelly Beard, who began this school year as the first-time principal at Denair Middle School, will finish out the year as principal at Denair Elementary Charter Academy.

Beard spent 13 years as a first-grade teacher on the elementary campus before moving into an administrative role last summer. She replaces Lucy Zamora, who resigned to care for a family member facing a health crisis.

Beard’s appointment is permanent, Denair UnifiedSuperintendent Aaron Rosander said Friday afternoon after a joint meeting with the staffs from the elementary and middle schools.

“We wish Ms. Zamora the very best as she navigates the challenges ahead,” Rosander said.

Brian LaFountain, the principal at Denair Charter Academy, will temporarily fill Beard’s position at the middle school for the final month of classes. Recruitment to hire a full-time principal already has begun, Rosander said. He hopes to have a new leader hired by early June.
