The Denair Elementary State Preschool utilizes the California Department of Education Desired Results for Children and Families system. It is designed to encourage progress toward the achievement of desired results by providing information and technical assistance to improve program quality. The system has been built on existing processes and procedures, and programs and services are coordinated to support the continuum of children’s developmental. It documents the progress made by children and families in achieving desired results and provides information to help child care and development practitioners improve their services. The desired results for children and families are as follows:
The Desired Results system consists of the following components: the program standards, a program review process called the agency self-evaluation (Early Childhood Environmental Rating Scale (ECERS), the contract compliance review, the Desired Results Developmental Profiles for children, and the parent survey.
